Travel grants ($100 – $2500 USD) will be available to facilitate participation in the 2026 GARD Conference. The purpose of these awards is to encourage diverse participation, especially by those with limited financial resources. These awards primarily target early career researchers (students, early career professionals). Special consideration in awarding grants will be taken to maximize diversity of attendees based on geographic location, stage of career development (student, early career professional), and financial need.
Award Eligibility
- Present oral or poster in-person at the GARD Conference, which is occurring in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA, from 8 – 12 June 2026.
- Preference will be given to applicants who best fit the above criteria and who would most benefit from these opportunities.
Application Requirements
- Submit Completed Google Form by 1 November 2025.
- Applicants will need to anticipate and include travel information prior to completion, including estimated travel cost.
- Applicants will need to upload a document expressing the value of the proposed travel to their professional development and their financial need (up to a 500-word document to be attached preferably in PDF format).
- Upload a draft presentation abstract (PDF format).
- Upload a resume or curriculum vita (PDF format).
